Starbound Theatre is now accepting applications for our Junior Tech Program!  

Students must apply online by August 1, 2025. Approved Applicants will be contacted for an in-person interview, applicants should have their parents available for the interview.  Student Directors should prepare a theatrical resume to provide the interview panel.  Following interviews, Starbound Theatre will announce our selections on August 25, 2025.

Students Ages 12+ are welcome to apply for our Junior Tech Program. This includes 2 Starbound Mainstage Productions and 1 Solano Community Players Mainstage Production.

JUNIOR TECH PROGRAM

What is the Junior Tech Program?

Starbound Theatre is launching our Junior Tech Program. This is a great opportunity for younger students to see the commitment involved in becoming a Student Director. Junior techs will work on one Starbound Mainstage and one Solano Community Players Mainstage production with the Student Directors and Starbound Staff.

What are the requirements of a Junior Tech?

Students commit to the rehearsal process, tech and productions of one Starbound Mainstage and one Solano Community Players Mainstage Production. This means attending 1-2 rehearsals a week, one tech week (until 9:30pm) and all performances of the production they have been assigned.

You will need to prepare a personal statement and get one letter of recommendation that will need to be uploaded with your application. Student Directors should prepare a resume to submit.
