COMPETITIONS OF AMERICA 2021
MTCA brings together High Schools, Middle Schools, and Musical Theatre Studios from all over the world, for a weekend Jam-Packed with ALL things Musical Theatre. Our adjudicators are Broadway Actors, Choreographers, College Theatre Directors, and Disney Master Class Teachers. Categories include Groups Ensembles, Solos, Monologues, Duets, Musical Theatre Dance, Set Design, Hair and Makeup Design, and Costume Design. ALL students participate in a professional Open Call Audition for the opportunity to be cast in our Direct from Broadway Finale. MTCA offers Master Classes and Workshops for Students, Directors, and Chaperones. Saturday Nights Finale features performances from our Special Direct from Broadway Guests. The weekend concludes with a private awards ceremony!

JUNIOR THEATRE FESTIVAL 2021
The Junior Theater Festival (JTF) is the world’s biggest and best celebration of young people performing musical theater. JTF brings together student musical theater troupes from all over the world for a weekend of musical theater mayhem and madness. Each troupe performs fifteen minutes from a Broadway Junior show for adjudication by a panel of musical theater experts. The weekend also features professional development for teachers, workshops for students and parents, a New Works Showcase featuring new musical adaptations soon to be released and concludes with a grand finale concert headlined by Broadway’s best!
DATES OF FESTIVAL: June 25-27, 2021
$150 non-refundable deposit due when signing up. (unless protection plan is purchased)
INSURANCE: We highly recommend purchasing the protection upon registration. THIS PROTECTION IS ONLY FOR PERSONAL ILLNESS, DEATH, ETC. If you add that option, you will be refunded the amount you paid upon registration. For example, if you paid $150 upon registration, the protection coverage would reimburse you $150. Please read the conditions so that you are fully aware of coverage options.
MANDATORY REHEARSALS: At this time, we have selected Frozen, Jr as the show we will be presenting our 15 minutes from. Rehearsals will be on select Saturdays as well as certain weekly Music and Improv rehearsals.
REMINDER- THESE FESTIVALS ARE HAPPENING VIRTUALLY! OUR TEAM WILL BE TOGETHER IN PERSON TO PARTICIPATE IN SOME EVENTS FOR THE FESTIVALS INCLUDING LIVE FEEDS INTO THE FESTIVAL.

My student will be attending JTF. I would like to fundraise a majority of the cost.
I understand that any fees paid including the deposit are non-refundable. Once registration is confirmed, my place is held in the festival and fees cannot be refunded unless I purchase the protection offered below and ONLY for the Deposit amount of $150. I understand that Starbound Theatre is not affiliated with the Purchase Protection plan and I will have to work with Regfox on any claim.
